Rainbow toucan

There’s little doubting the identity of the rainbow toucan, this was one of several we saw at Hanging Bridges near Arenal volcano in Costa Rica.

According to Wikipedia, this is also known as the keel-billed toucan, although you can see why that name didn’t quite catch on in the same way.

It seems a mystery as to why such an exotic creature would have evolved, but it is certainly part of the glory of the creation.
